NATIONAL DAY OF GIVING--TRUWEAR OUTREACH

Posted by Jeffrey Fortner on

Truwear was founded with a two-fold purpose. One, provide elite men’s performance wear to bridge the ever-growing divide between workwear and family wear. And two, to build relationships with the surrounding community that can further progress and change the narrative encompassing mental health and addictionWe truly believe that positive interactions and conversations paired with purpose driven service can help draw awareness and lend support to an ever-increasing and pain-filled issue.

Wasatch Behavioral Health (WBH) was founded in 1967 to provide quality mental health care for all individuals within Utah County and was the first community mental health center in Utah. Its comprehensive community mental health center offers an array of programs and services for children, teens and adults in both Utah and Wasatch Counties. Recently, WBH began the massive undertaking of operating all of Utah’s addiction recovery centers, and these centers desperately need our help. Truwear committed to helping serve wherever they were needed, so recently, CEO Joseph Hawes, COO Zach McKinley, went to work (Pinnacle No Collar PoloPhenom Classic Tartan Short Sleeve Shirt, and Peak Lifestyle Jogger. They helped clean rooms, offices, and work stations and assisted in repairing necessary equipment at WBH’s Foothill location. The Foothill Treatment facility currently has a waitlist of over 60 people proving the high demand of these very crucial and indispensable establishments.

“Physical labor and service is a small contribution to a very large problem,” says CEO Joseph Hawes. “But what WBH desperately needs, is the community’s support and acknowledgement.  If we can bring awareness and education to those in our area, then the conversations we have regarding mental health and addiction can change. People should never be ashamed to ask for help, and there should always be a place for them to go to receive assistance."

Wasatch Behavioral Health provides inpatient, residential, and day treatment, case management, outpatient treatment24-hour crisis line, outreach, follow-up care, referral screening, and consultations, along with education and prevention. If you, or somebody you know, is struggling with addiction or mental health illnesses you can learn more about WBH at https://www.wasatch.org/
